Memory and time are central to my practice. My paintings emerge slowly, often developing over extended periods through a process of layering, scraping, sanding, and repainting. Each surface becomes a record of accumulation and erasure, reflecting the way memories are continually reconstructed, altered, and understood through the passage of time.

Rather than creating images through representation, I build paintings through subtle interventions and material transformation. Thin veils of paint, incised lines, exposed surfaces, and geometric forms reveal traces of previous decisions while simultaneously concealing them. Every mark carries the history of what came before, allowing the work to exist as both an object and an archive of its own making.

I am interested in the quiet space between presence and absence. Restrained compositions and muted palettes slow perception, inviting viewers to discover details gradually rather than all at once. Hidden forms, apertures, and layered surfaces evoke architectural spaces, landscapes, and fragments of memory without resolving into a fixed narrative. These paintings occupy an ambiguous territory where certainty gives way to contemplation.

Although the work begins from personal experiences and memories, it is not intended as autobiography. Instead, I hope these paintings become open spaces where viewers can reflect on their own histories, uncertainties, and emotional landscapes. The visual and tactile qualities of the surface encourage close observation, revealing what has been uncovered, what has been concealed, and what remains unknowable.

Ultimately, my work explores how identity, memory, and place are shaped through continual acts of construction and erosion. Existing between everything and nothing, the paintings suggest that meaning is never fixed but emerges through time, attention, and the quiet traces left behind.
